A: All orders ship from our studio in San Diego, California. You may be asked to provide Identification prior to shipping.

A: In-stock items ship within 1–3 business days. Made-to-order and custom pieces require 2–4 weeks for production. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes, we offer fully insured international shipping. Please note that duties and taxes may apply at the time of delivery and are the responsibility of the recipient.

A: All jewelry is final sale.

Q: What materials do you use?

A: All jewelry is crafted in 14k, 18k & 24k gold. We do not offer gold-filled or gold-plated jewelry.

Q: Are your diamonds conflict-free?

A: Yes. Our diamonds are sourced through reputable suppliers who adhere to the Kimberley Process and other international ethical sourcing standards.

Q: Do your diamonds come with certification?

A: Typically single diamond pieces of 0.50 carats or more come with a GIA or IGI grading certificate. Custom orders are decided by clients with the help of our jewelers.

Q: How do I care for my jewelry?

A: Store jewelry in a soft pouch or box, avoid contact with harsh chemicals, and clean gently with warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush. We recommend taking off prior to sleep.

Q: Do I need to insure my jewelry after purchase?

A: We recommend it. While we fully insure every piece during production and delivery, once it’s in your hands, it’s wise to obtain personal insurance. Many clients add their jewelry to a homeowner’s or specialized personal articles policy. Appraisals for insurance purposes are available upon request.

Q: Is your business licensed and insured?

A: Yes. Standard Assay is a licensed jewelry business in California and operates in compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) laws.
